DirecTV Installation Options and Fees
Typical fees you may need to pay with any Spectrum Television plan vary depending on the type of plan you choose.
- Professional installation is recommended if you are subscribing to TV service since the setup is more complicated. You should also get a technician to install if you’re not comfortable configuring your own WiFi router. Spectrum’s professional installation is only $65.
- Self-installation is recommended if you want to save on the installation fee. This is also the fastest way to get set up, and in some cases, they will even activate same-day service.
- Equipment Charges and Fees there is a $13.50 per month fee to rent an HD DVR. Each additional HD DVR is also $13.50, however this can by avoided by simply downloading the Spectrum TV App on your device and streaming on the additional TVs.
- Regional Sports Fee is included in plans that carry Regional Sports Networks with coverage of your local sports teams. These networks have a monthly fee which may vary by location and is subject to change.
- Early Termination Fee is a penalty charge a consumer must pay if they cancel their DirecTV Service before the agreed-upon end date. Early termination fee if applied are as follows ($20/mo. for each month remaining in the agreement) & add’l fee(s) may apply if equip is not returned.
